Friday 23rd of October saw a first time winner of the Sportsman’s Warehouse Sportstar of the Year awards in Adam Folkard of Softball. Adam was named International Pitcher of the Year after leading Australia to the International Softball Federation XII Men’s World Championship held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Canada).
Adam also combined with the ACT Men’s Open team to win their Fourth consecutive National Title (John Reid Shield) in February. Other winners include 2008 Paralympic Gold Medallist Christine Wolf, WNBL Champions Canberra Capitals and up and coming athletics star Melissa Breen. The 2009 Sportsman’s Warehouse Sportstar of the Year Winners are:
