The 2009 ActewAGL ACT Sport Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon was held on Friday 28th August in the Bradman Room at Manuka Oval.
The sun was shining as more than 200 guests mingled in the stadium before moving inside for the Ceremony. The Luncheon was hosted by Phil Small, and guests were given a commemorative booklet containing the details of the 90 Hall of Fame Inductees. A minutes’ silence was held for 1996 Hall of Fame Inductee Les McIntyre who passed away this year, and other Hall of Fame Inductees who have passed away.

Video Testimonials were played, followed by a speech from each Inductee.
In attendance were family, friends, former coaches and team mates of the inductees along with local sporting personalities, sponsors, politicians and previous inductees.
The ActewAGL ACT Sport Hall of Fame was established in 1995, it aims to recognise and showcase the achievements and dedication of the athletes, referees, coaches and administrators of sport in the ACT.
The event was a chance to celebrate and recognise the contribution the 2009 ActewAGL ACT Sport Hall of Fame inductees have made to sport in the ACT and Australia.
